Mystery surrounds disappearance of 35-year-old Newark woman

NEWARK, N.J. — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating 35-year-old Jessica Gonzalez, who was reported missing on Jan. 20, more than a month after her family last spoke with her.

Gonzalez was last in contact with her family on Dec. 13, 2024. She is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds, with black curly hair. She was last seen wearing black pants, a black sweater, and black Nike sneakers.

According to police, Gonzalez is in good physical and mental health and is known to frequent the areas of Park Avenue and North 7th Street.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to call the Newark Police Division’s Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Tips can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
