Connecticut Lottery records list the winner’s hometown as Peterborough, New Hampshire.
The prize was claimed Friday and came from the 10X CASH 18TH EDITION game.
The ticket was worth $10,000.

The New York State Police Troop B Computer Crime Unit, in coordination with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Massena, HSI Honolulu, HI, the Potsdam Police Department, and the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Gabriel A. Vergara of Potsdam, New York, in connection with an investigation involving child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and child exploitation.
During the morning hours of August 20, 2026, members of the New York State Police and assisting agencies executed a search warrant at Vergara’s residence in Potsdam, New York. As a result of the investigation, Vergara was arrested and charged with the following:
1 count – New York State Penal Law 263.10 – Promoting an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child, charged as a Sexually Motivated Felony
1 count – New York State Penal Law 263.11 – Possessing an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child
Vergara was arraigned in the Town of Norfolk Court on behalf of the Town of Potsdam Court and was remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing and is being conducted by the New York State Police Troop B Computer Crime Unit in coordination with Homeland Security Investigations Massena, Homeland Security Investigations Honolulu, the Potsdam Police Department, the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, the St. Lawrence County District Attorney’s Office, and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of New York.

Multi-state child exploitation probe leads agents to Potsdam home and felony arrest
New York investigators worked with Homeland Security teams in Massena and Hawaii
POTSDAM, NY — A child exploitation investigation stretching from northern New York to Hawaii led law enforcement officers to a Potsdam residence Thursday morning, where a search warrant ended with the arrest of Gabriel A. Vergara on two charges involving child sexual abuse material, according to New York State Police.
The New York State Police Troop B Computer Crime Unit conducted the investigation in coordination with Homeland Security Investigations offices in Massena and Honolulu, the Potsdam Police Department and the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators executed a search warrant at Vergara’s Potsdam residence during the morning hours Thursday.
State Police said Vergara was subsequently charged with one count of promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child, charged as a sexually motivated felony, and one count of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child.
Vergara was arraigned in Norfolk Town Court on behalf of Potsdam Town Court.
He was remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail following the arraignment, police said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
State Police said the continuing investigation also involves the St. Lawrence County District Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of New York.
