According to preliminary details released by the Attorney General’s Office of Public Integrity and Accountability (OPIA), officers were dispatched to a home on Hemlock Drive shortly after 2:00 a.m. on Monday. At approximately 2:44 a.m., during an interaction with the woman who had called 911, one officer discharged their service weapon, striking her.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released her identity.
Investigation follows recovery of knife at scene
