New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy Hosting President Biden at His Jersey Shore Estate

MIDDLETOWN, NJ—Get ready for some traffic problems at the Jersey Shore. Next Saturday night, U.S. President Joe Biden will visit the lavish waterfront estate of New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy. The stop is part of Biden’s nationwide fundraising tour during his re-election campaign.

According to the New Jersey Globe, Dr. Jill Biden, the First Lady, will chaperone President Biden during his Jersey Shore visit.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and his team have not yet acknowledged the fundraiser at his home overlooking the Navesink River.

The Globe reports that the last time Joe Biden visited Murphy’s home, he left with over $1 million in campaign contributions from wealthy progressive New Jersey donors.

One thing residents and tourists in the area can expect is road closures and traffic delays along the President’s route from the airport to the governor’s estate.
