GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A 26-year-old woman from Runnemede has been charged in a murder-for-hire scheme aimed at killing a Philadelphia police officer and his teenage daughter, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay announced Friday.

Jaclyn Diiorio was arrested on April 4 after arranging to meet a confidential informant on the 1300 block of North Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township. Investigators say Diiorio offered $12,000 to have her ex-boyfriend—identified as a 53-year-old Philadelphia police officer—and his 19-year-old daughter killed.
During the meeting, Diiorio allegedly handed the informant $500 in cash as a down payment before being taken into custody by the Gloucester Township Police Special Response Team. Officers also recovered a bottle of suspected alprazolam pills in her possession.
Charges and detention
Diiorio faces two counts of first-degree attempted murder, one count of first-degree conspiracy to commit murder, and one count of third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance. She is currently being held at Camden County Correctional Facility and is scheduled for a detention hearing on April 9 in Superior Court.
Authorities say the investigation was launched by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit after receiving a tip about the plot on April 3. The U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division also assisted in the case.
