The North Bergen Police Department has rescheduled its Second Annual First Responder Community Day because of the forecasted weather, moving the family-friendly event to Saturday, July 11.
Police announced the decision Thursday, saying the postponement was made to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for attendees.
New date announced

“Due to the forecasted weather, our 2nd Annual First Responder Community Day has been rescheduled to Saturday, July 11, 2026,” the North Bergen Police Department said in a social media announcement.
The department added, “While we’re disappointed to postpone this weekend’s event, we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone under better conditions for a fun, safe, and memorable day.”
Family-friendly event planned
The event will feature emergency vehicle displays, opportunities to meet local first responders, live music, giveaways, and activities for families.
Community Day is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Columbia Park Center, 3111 Kennedy Boulevard, North Bergen.
“We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to see you on July 11,” the department said. “Stay safe, and we’ll see you there!”
