BRONX, NY – New York City police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting early Thursday morning near the Cross Bronx Expressway.
According to the NYPD, the incident occurred around 6:50 a.m. on January 1 in the area of Morris Avenue and the Cross Bronx Expressway, within the 46th Precinct. Investigators say the suspect, identified as Ehinel Troncoso, allegedly discharged a firearm, striking a 55-year-old man in the head. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not released additional details about the circumstances leading to the shooting but confirmed that the suspect fled the location after the incident. Detectives from the 46th Precinct and NYPD Crime Stoppers are leading the investigation.
