Police seek suspects who robbed teen of jacket in Bronx park broad daylight theft

BRONX, NY – The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects wanted in connection with a robbery that took place Wednesday afternoon inside St. James Park in the Bronx.

According to investigators, the incident occurred around 12:50 p.m. on January 28, 2026, inside the park located at 2550 Jerome Avenue, within the 52nd Precinct. Police say a 15-year-old boy was walking through the park when he was confronted by two unidentified individuals. The suspects allegedly threatened the teen and demanded his jacket before forcibly taking it and fleeing on foot northbound along Morris Avenue.

No injuries were reported, and police have not yet released surveillance images or further descriptions of the suspects. The investigation remains active as detectives canvass the area and review nearby camera footage.
