Bronx, NY – A 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted inside a residence in the Bronx on Sunday night, prompting a police investigation and a public request for help identifying the individual believed to be responsible.
The incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. near the intersection of Prospect Avenue and East 170th Street within the confines of the 42nd Precinct. According to reports made to the NYPD, an unidentified male entered the residence and carried out the assault before fleeing the location in an unknown direction.
The victim was transported by private means to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln, where she was reported to be in stable condition.
Police have released a description of the individual they are seeking. He is described as a male with a dark complexion, believed to be between 17 and 19 years old, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with a slim build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, light-colored shorts, white shoes, and a white knit hat.
Detectives are continuing their investigation and reviewing surveillance footage in the area. There is no indication at this time of any connection between the suspect and the victim.
