MANHATTAN, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 16-year-old mother and her two young daughters who were reported missing from their Midtown East residence. The three were last seen on Friday, August 23, 2024, at approximately 12:30 p.m. leaving their home at 150 East 44th Street.

The mother, identified as Augustina Muntean, is described as a White female with long brown hair. She stands approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a red shirt, a black and white long skirt, and black sandals.

Her two daughters, Gloria Muntean, aged 3, and Florida Muntean, a 1-month-old infant, were last seen with her. The clothing descriptions for the children are unknown.

Authorities have not released details on the circumstances surrounding their disappearance. The NYPD is actively investigating the case and is urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of Augustina Muntean and her daughters to contact the police.
