Police say a man performed a lewd act and forcibly touched a 21-year-old woman aboard an F train as it approached the Smith–9 Streets subway station.
The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted in connection with an alleged forcible touching aboard a Brooklyn subway train last week.
According to the NYPD, the incident occurred at approximately 11:35 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, aboard a Manhattan-bound F train approaching the Smith–9 Streets subway station.
Police said a 21-year-old woman was riding the train when an unidentified man allegedly performed a lewd act in front of her before forcibly touching her buttocks.
NYPD releases public appeal

The department shared details of the case through its NYPD Crimestoppers program and is seeking information that could help identify the suspect.
Authorities have not released a description of the individual or announced any arrests in the investigation.
