Police said the confrontation turned physical, and the suspect displayed an unknown object before slashing the victim in the face. The victim sustained a laceration. Authorities did not release details about his condition or whether he required hospitalization.

The suspect fled the scene, and no arrests have been announced as of Wednesday. Investigators have not released a description of the individual.
