Toms River lottery player wins $184K on New Year’s Day in Fast Play jackpot

Trenton, NJ – A lucky New Jersey Lottery player in Ocean County kicked off the new year with a six-figure win after drawing a $5 Blast Off to Cash Fast Play Progressive ticket worth $184,057.

The winning ticket, drawn on New Year’s Day, was purchased at Stop & Shop #811 on Route 37 East in Toms River. The $5 ticket earned the player 50% of the Fast Play Progressive jackpot, which at the time of the win was over $368,000.

The progressive jackpot, which continues to grow with every ticket sold, has now risen to an estimated $190,000.

Fast Play Progressive games are available at all New Jersey Lottery retailers and offer instant win opportunities. The payout percentage is based on the ticket price. $30, $20, and $10 tickets are eligible to win 100% of the jackpot, while $5 tickets win 50%, $2 tickets win 20%, and $1 tickets win 10%.

The Blast Off to Cash win is one of the largest Fast Play prizes reported in the state in recent weeks and marks a strong start to 2026 for Ocean County lottery players.
