One dead, two injured in shooting on Dekalb Avenue in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 32-year-old man was killed and two others were critically injured in a shooting Monday evening in the vicinity of 456 Dekalb Avenue, police said.

Officers responded to 911 calls of multiple people shot at approximately 5:20 p.m. Upon arrival, they found three men with gunshot wounds.

The 32-year-old victim sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. A 26-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and shoulder, while a 33-year-old man was shot in the torso.

Both surviving victims were transported to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in critical condition. Police have not made any arrests and are continuing to investigate the incident.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.
