One Pennsylvania County Registered Thousands of Illegal Aliens, Watchdog Scott Pressler Claims

Pennsylvania election officials reviewed their voter registration systems after New Jersey disclosed an administrative error that mistakenly registered thousands of noncitizens to vote, while activist Scott Presler separately highlighted new data from Chester County.

Harrisburg, PA – Pennsylvania election officials said they tested the state’s voter registration systems after New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill disclosed that an administrative error at the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission led to approximately 6,600 noncitizens being mistakenly registered to vote.

The review was conducted to determine whether Pennsylvania’s systems could experience a similar problem. State officials have indicated their testing did not identify a comparable software issue, however thousands of illegal aliens were registered for jury duty in one county alone.

Election watchdog and political activist Scott Presler posted Wednesday that his organization had obtained Chester County’s full non-juror list, which includes residents who were excused from jury service because they are not U.S. citizens.

“Remember how Chester County appeared to have filtered out non-citizens from the non-juror list?” Presler wrote on X.

“Well, we’ve acquired the full non-juror list.”

He added:

“Chester County, PA, has at least 3,566 non-citizens. This is citizen journalism in action. Breaking news.”

The list Presler referenced identifies county residents who reported they were not U.S. citizens when responding to jury summonses. By itself, the existence of noncitizens on a jury excusal list does not indicate those individuals are registered to vote or cast ballots, but raises more questions about election integrity and automatic voter and jury registrations through motor vehicle services.

Election integrity remains focus of federal review

The New Jersey disclosure has prompted broader scrutiny of voter registration systems nationwide.

The Trump administration has requested records from New Jersey related to the erroneous registrations as part of a wider election integrity effort. The Department of Homeland Security has also asked several states, including New Jersey, to identify and remove noncitizens from voter rolls where appropriate under federal and state law.

Republican lawmakers have cited the New Jersey case in support of additional election security measures, including proof-of-citizenship requirements for voter registration and expanded audits of voter rolls.

Pennsylvania’s review follows those developments, with state officials saying they tested their systems after learning of New Jersey’s administrative error and did not identify evidence of a similar software malfunction.

However the Trump adminstration acknowledged it will continue investigating voter fraud in Pennsylvania too.
