One online ticket matched every number in the Match 6 drawing
MIDDLETOWN, PA — A Pennsylvania Lottery player scored a $1.63 million jackpot from home after an online Match 6 Lotto ticket matched all six numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing.
The Pennsylvania Lottery announced Thursday that the jackpot-winning ticket was purchased online for the Aug. 19 Match 6 Lotto drawing.
The ticket matched all six winning numbers — 1, 17, 22, 26, 31 and 41 — to capture the $1.63 million jackpot. The prize is subject to applicable withholding.
Unlike traditional winning tickets purchased at a convenience store, supermarket or other Pennsylvania Lottery retailer, this jackpot-winning ticket was purchased through the Lottery’s online platform.
Online winnings appear in a player’s account after the claim has been processed, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery.
The jackpot was far from the only prize awarded in Wednesday’s drawing.
More than 54,600 other Match 6 Lotto tickets won prizes at various levels, according to the Lottery.
Match 6 Lotto winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes.
Players can purchase Match 6 Lotto tickets online or from participating Pennsylvania Lottery retailers.
