Overnight fire damages home in wall township

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Emergency crews responded Friday evening to a structure fire on the second floor of a residence on Allenwood Road, authorities said.

According to the Wall Township Police Department, no injuries were reported as firefighters from local districts quickly brought the situation under control. The fire broke out in a residential structure and was confined to the second floor of the home.

The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation by the Wall Township Police Department, the Wall Fire Bureau, and the Monmouth County Fire Marshal’s Office. Officials have not released any further details regarding the origin or extent of the damage.

“Great job by our fire Districts for their quick response,” the police department said in a social media post acknowledging the coordinated efforts of emergency personnel.

Authorities did not indicate if the residents were home at the time of the fire or how long it took crews to extinguish the flames.

Allenwood Road, located in the southern portion of Wall Township, remained open after the fire was extinguished, and no evacuations were ordered, according to the initial report.
