Ewing Township, NJ – Authorities are investigating a deadly stabbing that claimed the life of a Philadelphia man Thursday evening in Ewing Township, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
Police were called to the first block of New Hillcrest Avenue around 5:20 p.m. after reports of a man stabbed in the street. Officers found 40-year-old Jimmy Chase suffering from multiple stab wounds to the torso. He was rushed to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he died from his injuries early Friday morning.
Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey and Ewing Police Chief Al Rhodes confirmed that the Mercer County Homicide Task Force and Ewing Police Department are jointly handling the investigation. Officials have not announced any arrests or identified possible suspects.
