March 5, 2024

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Police Department’s Northwest Detective Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect involved in an attempted robbery and aggravated assault shooting incident.

The event took place on February 25, at 2800 N Broad St, at approximately 7:14 pm. The complainant reported that a male, attempting to rob him at gunpoint, later fired shots at his vehicle as he fled the scene. The incident occurred after the offender’s vehicle collided with the complainant’s car, leading to a confrontation. Despite the attempt at robbery and the subsequent shooting, which resulted in the complainant’s car being hit three times, no injuries were reported within the complainant’s family.

Prior to the robbery attempt, city surveillance cameras captured the suspect at 22nd and Lehigh, entering a store shortly before the incident.

The suspect is described as a black male, around 5’10” tall, in his early 20s, wearing a gray puffy coat, black pants, a shirt, and boots.

The Philadelphia Police Department urges anyone with information about this individual or the incident to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
