DOVER, Del. — A 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old male from Philadelphia were arrested early Wednesday morning following a police pursuit involving a stolen vehicle, authorities said.

According to the Dover Police Department, an officer on patrol spotted a stolen Nissan Sentra with Maryland registration traveling southbound on North DuPont Highway near West Denney’s Road at 1:37 a.m. The officer confirmed the vehicle had been reported stolen earlier in the evening and attempted a traffic stop near North Governors Avenue and William Street.

The driver refused to stop, leading officers on a pursuit through Dover and toward State Route 1. The chase ended when the vehicle exited the roadway on a curved section, struck a guardrail, and hit a tree. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident, and no injuries were reported.

Police identified the suspects as Tamir Glover, 20, who was the passenger, and a 17-year-old male, who was driving. Glover was released on $4,000 unsecured bail on charges of receiving stolen property and second-degree conspiracy. The juvenile was taken to Stevenson House Detention Facility on $1,500 secured bail, facing charges of receiving stolen property and multiple traffic violations.
