LINDENWOLD, N.J. — A Pine Hill woman was arrested Saturday night after authorities said she fatally struck an e-bike rider with her vehicle on Laurel Road in Lindenwold.

According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and the Lindenwold Police Department, officers responded to the 1900 block of Laurel Road at approximately 10:24 p.m. following reports of a serious motor vehicle crash.

When officers arrived, they found that a vehicle had struck a person riding an e-bike. The rider, identified as Erica Beeks, 46, of Lindenwold, was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 10:42 p.m.

Driver charged at the scene

Authorities identified the driver as Deborah Carey, 65, of Pine Hill.
