Allegheny County Police have charged Shawn Jackson, a 37-year-old resident of Pittsburgh, with several felony offenses following his alleged involvement in multiple burglary incidents across the county.

The investigation began on June 3, when the Crafton Borough Police Department called upon the Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit to assist with a burglary at a laundromat on Crennel Street. Surveillance footage revealed that a male suspect entered the building just after 3:00 am, disabled the power, and forcibly opened several kiosks, stealing an undisclosed sum of money.

On June 10, after distributing surveillance images of the suspect via social media, police received a pivotal anonymous tip that led to the identification of Jackson as the suspect. Subsequently, a warrant for his arrest was issued, and he was apprehended by Pittsburgh Police on June 18.

Further inquiries linked Jackson to additional criminal activities on June 18, including an attempted burglary at a laundromat on Curry Hollow Road in Pleasant Hills, a successful burglary at another laundromat on Painters Run Road in Scott Township, and a theft at a car wash on Painters Run Road in Upper St. Clair.

Jackson is currently being held in the Allegheny County Jail, facing multiple felony charges for his alleged crimes.
