Police identify man fatally stabbed on Troy Avenue in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, NY – Police have identified the man found stabbed to death early Monday morning in Crown Heights as 56-year-old Kenneth Dantzler, who was undomiciled.

Officers responded to a call for assistance around 3:15 a.m. at 207 Troy Avenue, within the 77th Precinct.

Upon arrival, they discovered Dantzler suffering from multiple stab wounds across his body.

Emergency Medical Services pronounced him dead at the scene.

Investigation underway in deadly stabbing

Detectives are working to determine the circumstances that led to the attack and whether a weapon was recovered. The area around Troy Avenue remained taped off for several hours as officers processed evidence.

No arrests have been made, and police have not released information about any possible suspects.
