Police investigating fatal shooting in Oxon Hill

OXON HILL, Md. — Homicide detectives in Prince George’s County are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday night, resulting in the death of a 30-year-old man. The victim, identified as Daryl McCall of District Heights, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers responded to the 5100 block of Indian Head Highway at approximately 7:40 p.m. on September 27, 2024, following reports of a shooting. McCall was found in a parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds, and despite life-saving efforts, he was declared dead on site. A second adult male was also shot and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are currently working to determine the motive behind the shooting and identify any suspects involved. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
