BRONX, NY – The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a 12-year-old boy who went missing from his Bronx residence earlier this week.

Officials say the child, identified as Joffre Ovallos Cando, was last seen leaving his home on Shakespeare Avenue Thursday afternoon.

He has not been seen or heard from since.

Police said Joffre Ovallos Cando was last spotted at approximately 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, at his residence at 1220 Shakespeare Avenue. The boy is described as having a light complexion and slim build, standing about 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 99 pounds.
