NEWARK, NJ – Newark police are asking for the public’s help locating 13-year-old Ashley Vargas, who was reported missing after she was last seen on Sunday, February 8, near South 9th Street and Central Avenue.
According to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., Ashley is described as Hispanic, approximately 5 feet tall, weighing around 115 pounds, and was last seen wearing black pants and a black sweater.
Police have not yet released any additional details about the circumstances of her disappearance but said detectives are actively investigating and following leads.

Authorities are asking anyone with information on Ashley Vargas’s whereabouts to contact the Newark Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
