NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying three suspects wanted in connection with a series of robberies targeting victims carrying iPads across multiple boroughs, authorities said.
The crime pattern spans incidents in the 88th, 84th, 72nd, and 19th Precincts between early and late December 2025.
The first robbery occurred on December 5 around 8:20 p.m. in the 88th Precinct, when a 24-year-old man was exiting a store at 123 Flatbush Avenue. Police said an unidentified suspect forcibly grabbed an iPad from his hand before fleeing northbound toward Hanson Place. The victim was not injured.
On December 22, around 5:50 p.m. in the 84th Precinct, three suspects reportedly approached a 49-year-old woman outside 442 State Street and forcibly took a bag containing an iPad before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported.
Less than a week later, on December 28, a 17-year-old male was followed from a Flatbush Avenue store onto an R train in the 72nd Precinct. After exiting at 59th Street and 4th Avenue, two suspects grabbed him and snatched a bag he was carrying, which police said contained an empty box. The group fled, and the victim was unharmed.
That same evening, at approximately 9:10 p.m. in the 19th Precinct, a 38-year-old woman standing in front of 2 East 61st Street was pushed to the ground by three individuals who stole her bag containing iPads and iPad cases before escaping eastbound. The victim suffered minor injuries but declined hospitalization.
Investigators believe the same group may be responsible for all four robberies, given the similarities in method and stolen items.
