Police Seeking Suspect in Racially Motivated Assault

Annapolis, MD – Authorities are investigating an incident that occurred on Sunday, involving an assault and possible hate crime near West Street and Westgate Circle. At approximately 8:50 a.m., two men, unknown to each other, were walking towards one another on the sidewalk. According to the victim, the other man failed to yield and forcibly struck him in the chest while shouting racial slurs.

Following the altercation, both individuals continued walking in their respective directions. The victim declined medical attention and reported no physical injuries. Officers conducted a search of the area for CCTV cameras. No weapon was displayed during the incident.
