August 4, 2024

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River Township has reported a power outage initially affecting an estimated 607 customers. Jersey Central Power and Light (JCP&L) has dispatched crews to address the issue.

The outages occurred during Saturday night’s passing storm.

An update from JCP&L indicates significant progress, with power now restored to the majority of affected homes. Currently, 63 customers remain without power as crews continue their efforts to fully restore service in the area.

Local officials have put pressure on JCP&L over recent outages this year.
