One Elmhurst stop delivered the drawing’s top prize

ELMHURST, NY — A Tuesday night lottery ticket purchased at an Elmhurst shop hit the TAKE 5 evening drawing’s top prize, turning a stop on Junction Boulevard into a $29,525 win.

The New York Lottery said the top-prize ticket was sold at Junction Lotto and Stationary, located at 57-01 Junction Blvd. in Elmhurst.

The ticket was the top-prize winner for Tuesday’s TAKE 5 evening drawing and is worth $29,525.

TAKE 5 numbers are selected from a field of 1 through 39, with drawings held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

New York Lottery draw-game prizes may be claimed for up to one year from the date of the drawing.

The Lottery announcement did not state whether the prize had been claimed.

The New York Lottery contributed $3.6 billion to public schools statewide during the 2025-26 fiscal year.
