Queens woman found dead in apartment, police investigating

QUEENS, N.Y. — A 58-year-old woman was found dead inside her Queens apartment early Saturday morning, police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call at 12:32 a.m. at 90-06 95th Avenue in the 102nd Precinct. Upon arrival, they found Rosa Cruz, 58, unconscious and unresponsive inside the residence.

Emergency medical services pronounced Cruz dead at the scene.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Authorities have not disclosed any further details regarding the circumstances of her death.
