Rainy Saturday at the Jersey Shore Expected to Give Way to Drier Weather Sunday

Showers and thunderstorms are expected across the Jersey Shore on Saturday before conditions improve Sunday with cloudy skies and cooler temperatures.

Jersey Shore, NJ – A wet Saturday is in store for residents and visitors along the Jersey Shore, with showers and thunderstorms expected through much of the day before drier weather arrives on Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, showers and thunderstorms are likely before 4 p.m., with additional showers and a possible thunderstorm continuing through the late afternoon. Rain chances decrease during the evening, although a few showers could linger into the night.

Storms could bring brief heavy rain

Saturday’s high temperature is expected to reach around 75 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. Winds will remain light, becoming southeast around 5 mph during the afternoon.

Rainfall totals are generally expected to remain under one-tenth of an inch, though localized heavier amounts are possible in thunderstorms.

Quiet but cloudy finish to the weekend

A slight chance of showers remains overnight into early Sunday morning before conditions gradually dry out. Overnight lows will fall to around 70 degrees.

Sunday is expected to be mostly cloudy with a high near 75 degrees and an easterly breeze between 5 and 10 mph. Clouds will gradually decrease Sunday night, with temperatures dipping to around 69 degrees.
