SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. — Don’t let midweek showers fool you — weather conditions are shaping up to be ideal along the Jersey Shore for Fourth of July weekend.

While there’s a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms late Wednesday afternoon, skies are expected to gradually clear with a high near 83°F. The National Weather Service puts the chance of precipitation at 30%, with any rainfall expected to be light.

Thursday brings a return to full summer sun, with a high near 89°F and light afternoon breezes. Conditions stay calm and mostly clear Thursday night with temperatures dipping to the mid-60s.

Independence Day is forecast to be sunny with a high near 85°F, accompanied by light northwest winds — perfect weather for beachgoers, parades, and evening fireworks displays scheduled up and down the coast.

The warm, dry trend continues into the weekend. Saturday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high around 86°F, and Sunday will likely reach 88°F under similar clear skies.

Overnight lows throughout the weekend will range from the low to upper 60s with only occasional clouds, making for comfortable evenings on the boardwalk or at backyard gatherings.
