According to a report by competitor Yahoo, Google has been accused of removing 100,000 negative reviews of stock trading app Robinhood after investors locked out of trading certain stocks to the Google Play app store to express their displeasure. The app’s rating went from a four to one-star rating in just a few hours.
“Google has deleted at least 100,000 negative reviews from Robinhood’s app on the Google Play app store after furious users flooded the app with bad reviews that caused it to drop to a one-star rating,” Yahoo reported.
After deleting the comments, the app’s four star rating was restored. On Friday, the app’s rating fell to 3.5 stars.
