School teacher rants about ICE killing woman who hit agent with car It could have been you

MANSON, IA – A teacher at Manson Northwest Webster Junior/Senior High School is under investigation following a reported classroom incident in which she allegedly made inappropriate remarks to students about a recent national shooting case. The district confirmed Thursday that the matter has been addressed internally, though officials declined to identify the staff member or disclose any disciplinary action.

“She had broken no law,” she said. “It could have been you.”

Superintendent Justin Daggett issued a statement to parents and staff acknowledging that administrators were “made aware of a situation involving inappropriate classroom commentary by one of our staff members regarding recent national news.” The statement added that the district had taken the issue seriously and handled it “promptly and in accordance with district policy and established personnel procedures.”

District officials cited privacy laws and personnel policy as reasons for withholding additional information, but emphasized their commitment to maintaining a safe and professional learning environment. “We appreciate this being brought to our attention,” Daggett wrote. “We take our responsibility to maintain a respectful and professional learning environment very seriously.”

The controversy gained traction on social media after a video surfaced appearing to show a teacher raising her voice during a classroom discussion about the shooting of Renee Good, a case that has stirred national debate. The teacher was accused of misleading students about the circumstances of the incident.

While school administrators have confirmed that corrective action has been taken, they have not specified whether the teacher remains in the classroom. Parents in the district have called for greater transparency regarding the school’s response and whether additional measures will be implemented to prevent similar incidents.
