Search Underway for Suspect in Southeast Shooting Incident

WASHINGTON, DC— The D.C. Metro Police Department’s Sixth District is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a shooting that occurred in the Southeast. The incident unfolded on Friday, March 22, at approximately 4:29 p.m., within a business on the 2400 block of Minnesota Avenue, Southeast.

Following a confrontation inside the business, the situation escalated outdoors, where the suspect displayed a firearm and shot the victim. The victim managed to escape the assailant’s presence and obtained medical aid at the Sixth Police District Substation. The perpetrator left the scene shortly after the incident.

Authorities have obtained footage of the suspect from nearby surveillance cameras and are circulating his image to aid in his identification.
