Search Underway for Suspects in Kingman Park Shooting

Washington, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department is actively seeking the public’s assistance to identify two individuals involved in a recent shooting in the Kingman Park neighborhood of Northeast Washington. The call for community help follows a violent altercation that resulted in one person being wounded.

On Friday evening at around 7:44 p.m., an incident unfolded outside a business located on the 500 block of 21st Street, Northeast. Following an altercation with the victim, one of the suspects produced a firearm and proceeded to shoot the victim. Subsequently, both suspects made their escape from the scene.

Security footage captured images of the suspects, and the MPD is urging anyone with information regarding their identities or any details about the incident to come forward. Individuals are advised not to approach the suspects but to contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or to send an anonymous tip through the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE by texting to 50411, in efforts to aid the ongoing investigation.
