STAMFORD, CT—A significant narcotics investigation by the Stamford Police Department (SPD) Narcotics & Organized Crime Unit, in collaboration with the DEA-Bridgeport Residence Office and other federal and local agencies, has resulted in the arrest of Edwin Abrams, a suspected drug dealer in Fairfield County.

Abrams, born on September 14, 1981, was taken into custody on July 17, 2024, after detectives observed him engaging in a suspected narcotics transaction outside his residence at #335 Wells Street, Apartment #4 in Bridgeport, CT. This arrest followed an extensive investigation into Abrams’ activities involving the sale of fentanyl and cocaine throughout the area.

During the arrest, police seized $10,693 in cash from Abrams. A subsequent search of his apartment under a warrant uncovered an additional $1,313, approximately 112 grams of cocaine, 73 grams of fentanyl, as well as packaging materials and scales typically used in drug distribution.

Abrams was charged with three counts of Sale of Narcotics and is currently held at the SPD Jail with a court-set bond of $100,000. Due to his status on Special Parole until 2030, a parole remand was also issued.

The SPD Narcotics & Organized Crime Unit has expressed gratitude to the DEA-Bridgeport Residence Office, FBI-Bridgeport Safe Streets Task Force, and the Bridgeport PD for their assistance in this operation. Abrams has a history of numerous felony drug convictions dating back to 1998, highlighting the significance of his latest arrest in curbing local drug trafficking.
