CAMDEN, Del. — Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash early Friday morning that left a 93-year-old man dead on South Dupont Highway.

The crash occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. when an unidentified vehicle traveling southbound struck the pedestrian as he was crossing the highway near Caboose Lane. Authorities said the vehicle did not stop and continued southbound.

After the initial impact, the man was hit by additional vehicles, none of which remained at the scene. The pedestrian was pronounced dead on-site. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.
