STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A Staten Island Powerball player is celebrating a $50,000 third-prize win after matching four white balls and the red Power Ball in the April 21 drawing.

The winning ticket was purchased at METRO MART NY, located at 2655 Richmond Avenue in Staten Island. The prize represents one of two third-tier wins reported across New York for this Powerball draw.

The winning numbers were selected from a pool of one to 69 for the white balls and one to 26 for the red Power Ball. Powerball drawings are held three times a week—every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.

The New York Lottery has not identified the Staten Island winner, as prizes must first be claimed and validated.
