NEW YORK, N.Y. — A morning subway ride turned disturbing for a young woman after a man allegedly repeatedly touched her without consent aboard a southbound No. 4 train, prompting an NYPD search for the suspect.

The New York Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying an individual wanted in connection with a forcible touching incident that occurred on Tuesday, May 19.

According to investigators, the incident happened at approximately 7:30 a.m. aboard a southbound 4 train as it approached the 59 Street-Lexington Avenue subway station in Manhattan.

Police said a 25-year-old woman was riding the train when an unidentified individual allegedly forcibly touched her body multiple times.

The suspect fled before police arrived.

Authorities have not released a description of the individual or additional details regarding the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
