MANASSAS, VA—A suspicious package incident in Manassas ended without harm after authorities confirmed the package posed no threat. Police were called to the 8200 block of Sudley Road around 4:59 p.m. on June 1, following a report of an unattended backpack in a parking lot.
The Virginia State Police Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit, alongside a police K-9, conducted a thorough investigation. Their examination concluded that the backpack was harmless, alleviating concerns about potential danger to the community.
