Utica Police Arrest Suspect Following Menacing Incident
**UTICA, NY** – On March 20th at approximately 6:45 PM, Utica Police responded to a report of a menacing incident on the 900 block of Schuyler Street.
Upon arrival, police spoke with individuals who reported a familiar male had displayed violent behavior outside a residence. The suspect left the scene but soon returned wielding a large knife, threatening the parties involved.
The victims retreated into their home and secured the door, but the suspect attempted to break in by smashing glass windows. Afterward, he left and entered a nearby residence where officers subsequently located him.
The suspect, identified as 42-year-old Somxay Sysamouth of Utica, was taken into custody without incident. A meat cleaver style knife was recovered as the weapon used in the alleged offense. Sysamouth faces charges including two counts of menacing in the second degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree.

**Stafford, VA** – On Sunday at approximately 6:06 a.m., Deputy W.J. Walker responded to an auto accident in the 500 block of Cambridge Street. The caller initially reported a collision with a deer but upon arrival, Deputy Walker found an adult male with injuries lying on the ground.
Emergency services were quickly contacted, and the victim was transported to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, the male victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The preliminary investigation indicated that the driver of the vehicle involved was traveling northbound on Cambridge Street when the pedestrian, walking southbound, was struck. The driver remained at the scene, was not injured, and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
The pedestrian was identified as 52-year-old Gregory Breeden from Stafford. The investigation into the crash remains active under Deputy Walker. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Deputy Walker at 540-658-4450.

**SCHENECTADY, NY** – Schenectady Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred on the evening of Wednesday, March 19 at approximately 7:38 p.m. Officers were called to Chrisler Avenue and Crane Street, responding to a report of a child struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, they found an unresponsive 8-year-old boy. The child was transported to Ellis Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
The driver involved fled the scene before officers arrived. A subsequent search led to the discovery of the suspected vehicle in the Woodlawn area of Schenectady.

The investigation led by NYPD’s Human Trafficking Squad highlighted communication with Burnham, during which explicit photos and videos were allegedly shared.

**Severn, MD** – Detectives from the Western District stopped a silver Nissan Rogue on MD Route 32 near Laurel Fort Meade Road on Tuesday at 5:35 p.m. Officers identified an unserialized 9mm Polymer 80 handgun loaded with 23 rounds with the front seat passenger. The passenger Ibn Muta Ali Wright, aged 18, from Pasadena, MD, who is prohibited from owning firearms, was arrested. The driver, 29-year-old Kiyewon Edward Barnes from Germantown, MD, had outstanding arrest warrants.
**Pasadena, MD** – On Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., officers conducted a separate traffic stop in Pasadena on Ritchie Highway and Camrose Avenue with a silver Acura. Inside, they found a loaded Kurz semi-automatic handgun, identification cards with various names, suspected controlled dangerous substances (CDS), and related paraphernalia. The driver was unidentified at the time but taken into custody. His passenger, Hilary Jean Elam, aged 36, from Baltimore, was also arrested.

The candidate, Solomon Peña, 40, contested the District 14 seat in the November 2022 mid-term elections. Following his electoral defeat, Peña pressured the Bernalillo County Board of Commissioners to reject certifying the election results, which were ultimately certified despite his efforts. Peña, along with accomplices Demetrio Trujillo, 41, and Jose Trujillo, 24, conducted shootings at the homes of two county commissioners and two state legislators between December 4, 2022, and January 3, 2023, with one incident involving a machine gun.

Isaiah Stokes Receives 25-Year Sentence for 2021 Murder
**Queens, NY** – On Wednesday, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced the sentencing of Isaiah Stokes, who received 25 years to life imprisonment following his conviction for the murder of Tyrone Jones. The murder occurred on February 7, 2021, when Jones, seated in his parked Jeep Cherokee in St. Albans, was fatally shot. This act of violence was allegedly in retaliation for a dispute that transpired during Jones’ birthday celebration in October 2020.
According to District Attorney Katz, the defendant sought revenge after being ejected from the party. Stokes placed a GPS device on Jones’ vehicle weeks prior to the shooting, tracking his movements. On February 7, Stokes located Jones, discharged his firearm into the vehicle 11 times, and struck the victim in the head and chest, leading to Jones’ immediate death.

Investigations involved witness statements, forensic evidence, and search warrants at Lupacckino’s residence, culminating in charges including aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, and two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
