It was reported to police that on friday, january 6, 2023 at approximately 1300 hours, in front of a chase bank located at 5423 8 avenue, a brink's employee was making a bank money drop when two unknown individuals approached him and began to ask for directions. While the employee was distracted, another unknown individual quickly removed a bag that was left unattended on the bumper of the armored brink's truck and fled the scene on foot heading southbound on 8 avenue. The two other individuals fled the scene to parts unknown. The stolen bag contained $300,000 cash.
