**Boston, MA** – On Wednesday, at approximately 12:45 PM, officers from District E-5 (West Roxbury) arrested Brendan Donovan, 45, of South Boston, on multiple firearm-related charges.

A detective on patrol observed a person on a scooter, who was carrying a duffel bag, run a red light in the area of Centre Street and Lorette Street. The scooter continued onto the sidewalk towards Temple Street and parked at 7 Spring Street.

The detective also noticed two masked individuals walking from the same location and tracked them as they met Donovan behind an unoccupied van in a parking lot. The detective and a beat officer approached the group, whereupon a firearm was seen in Donovan’s waistband; it was later identified as a less lethal CO2 firearm.

Additional officers arrived, removed Donovan from the scooter, and checked the duffle bag, discovering an AR-15 Camouflage Assault Rifle and a bag of Fentanyl. Donovan was arrested and will face several charges in West Roxbury District Court, including unlawful firearm possession and possession of class A substances.

The investigation, prompted by the Department of Correction, found that Correctional Officer Yesenia Martinez-Morales had smuggled approximately 5.82 grams of methamphetamines into the facility.

**Brooklyn, NY** – A leader of the MS-13 gang, Francisco Javier Roman-Bardales, was arraigned earlier today on charges related to directing the gang’s illegal activities in the U.S., El Salvador, and other countries over two decades. Roman-Bardales, a 47-year-old from Ahuachapán, El Salvador, had been a fugitive for nearly three years and was recently apprehended and expelled by Mexican authorities.

Roman-Bardales is accused of holding a significant leadership position within MS-13’s organizational structure, which spans several countries. In the related case of United States v. **Stamford, CT** – Daqwon Graham, a 30-year-old resident of Ansonia, has been apprehended in Stamford following a federal complaint accusing him of fentanyl trafficking offenses. Authorities allege that Graham was identified as a major distributor of fentanyl in Fairfield County by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Bridgeport HIDTA Task Force and the Stamford Police Department. His activities are linked to an overdose death in Branford in March 2023 and another in Shelton in October 2024. Controlled purchases of fentanyl were reportedly made from Graham in January and February 2025.
