Taste of Newark Event Canceled Due to Weather

NEWARK, NJ – Street closures planned for the Taste of Newark Outdoor Dining Experience have been called off as the event itself is canceled.

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé announced the cancellation of the event, initially scheduled for Sunday, October 22, 2023, along Ferry Street and Wilson Avenue. The streets, previously set to be closed for the event, will now remain open to the public.

Director Fragé encourages anyone with information on criminal activities to contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All tips received through the Crime Stopper line are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
