Teen stabbed during dispute on bronx street, police search for three suspects

BRONX, NY – A 16-year-old boy was stabbed Saturday evening following a street altercation outside 665 Westchester Avenue, police said.

The attack occurred around 7:57 p.m. after the teen was approached by three unidentified males and a verbal dispute turned violent.

The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was listed in stable condition.

Verbal dispute escalates into stabbing

Authorities said the confrontation began when three men approached the teen outside a storefront near the intersection of Westchester Avenue and East 156th Street. During the argument, one suspect pulled a sharp object and stabbed the victim before all three fled the scene on foot.

Victim recovering at hospital

Emergency medical personnel responded quickly and transported the teen to Lincoln Hospital, where he was treated for a stab wound to the abdomen. Police said his condition was stable and that he is expected to recover.

Suspect descriptions released

The first suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion and black hair, last seen wearing a black jacket, gray sweatpants, and black sneakers. The second suspect is a male with a medium complexion, last seen in a black balaclava, gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and white sneakers. The third suspect, also with a medium complexion, was wearing a black balaclava, black jacket, blue jeans, and white sneakers.

Police seek public’s help

Detectives from the NYPD are reviewing surveillance video from nearby businesses and urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. All calls are confidential as the investigation into the stabbing continues.
