Teen turns himself in after wawa scooter robbery attempt as police hunt second suspect

BENSALEM, PA – A late-night attack outside a Wawa ended with one 19-year-old in custody and a second suspect still unidentified after a failed scooter robbery.

The assault happened around 11:00 p.m. on October 13 at Street Road and Kingston Way, where two males punched and kicked a victim in the head and face before fleeing without the scooter.

On Thursday, Angel Lorick of Bensalem surrendered to police and was booked on robbery, assault, and related offenses.

Lorick was arraigned by District Justice Lisa Gaier and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $350,000 bail.

Investigators said bystander footage and Wawa surveillance helped identify Lorick, while the second suspect left the scene before officers arrived.

The victim reported the suspects approached him about his scooter before the assault, and responding officers were unable to locate the attackers that night.

Detectives reviewed store cameras and cellphone video taken by witnesses to develop a suspect, concluding the two men acted together during the attempted theft.

Police said the pair fled immediately after the assault, and no property was taken from the victim or the location.

Police seek public’s help

Bensalem Police released a description of the outstanding suspect as a male wearing a black coat with a green sweatshirt underneath.

Anyone who recognizes the individual is asked to submit an anonymous tip or call the department at (215) 633-3719 to assist the investigation.

Authorities said Lorick remains held pending further court proceedings and that additional charges could be considered as new evidence is reviewed.
