Teens arrested after stabbing during rush hour brawl rockville metro

ROCKVILLE, MD — Two male juveniles were arrested Thursday after a 39-year-old man was stabbed, pepper-sprayed, and struck with a skateboard in a violent altercation at the Rockville Metro Station, police said.

Rockville City Police responded to a report of a stabbing around 4:22 p.m. at 250 Rockville Pike. Authorities said the victim had been involved in a verbal confrontation with the teens before the situation turned violent.

The altercation escalated when one of the juveniles allegedly used pepper spray on the victim. According to police, the suspects then stabbed the man in the back and struck him repeatedly with a skateboard.

Officers credited several 911 callers with providing accurate suspect descriptions that led to a swift arrest. The two boys, aged 13 and 14, were taken into custody shortly after the attack in the vicinity of the Metro station.

The victim was treated on-site by emergency responders and declined additional medical care, authorities said.

Teens face multiple charges

Rockville City Police confirmed that both juveniles are being charged with multiple counts of assault and reckless endangerment. Their identities are being withheld due to their age.
