Teens attacked and robbed in Savage as Howard County reports spike in thefts, break-ins

Two luxury vehicles stolen in Ellicott City overnight

Savage, MD – Two juvenile boys were assaulted and robbed of sneakers in Savage Wednesday afternoon during a targeted encounter with known acquaintances, Howard County Police said in their daily crime bulletin.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m. in the 8500 block of Foxborough Drive. Police said the victims were approached by a juvenile acquaintance along with other juvenile suspects who physically assaulted them and stole a pair of sneakers before fleeing the scene. No serious injuries were reported.

Theft from vehicle/vehicle break-in:

  • Columbia (21044): Multiple items were stolen from a vehicle in the 11300 block of Little Patuxent Parkway between Nov. 18 and 19.
  • Elkridge (21075): Headphones were reported stolen from four vehicles in the 7500 block of Hearthside Way during the overnight hours of Nov. 19-20.

Vehicle theft:

  • Ellicott City (21043): A 2022 black Lincoln Aviator (MD tag 2EY8941) was stolen overnight between Nov. 19 and 20 from the 4500 block of Cornflower Court.
  • Ellicott City (21043): A 2019 black Lexus NX300 (MI tag DYU3651) was reported stolen from the 4500 block of Haywagon Way during the same time period.

Police have not announced any arrests in connection with the incidents and investigations remain ongoing.
